IAJRC Membership Benefits Summary

Membership has its benefits (and privileges):

• Our quarterly Journal, filled with record and book reviews, jazz history and biography, discography, analytical articles and fascinating advertisements of new and old records. As a member, you will also enjoy the privilege of being able to place free limited size advertisements in the Journal, listing your "wants."

• Access to the IAJRC catalog of jazz recordings and monographs at low members prices. Recent monographs include "Assessing, Insuring and Disposing of Jazz Record Collections" and the "Herman Chittison bio-discography".

• Use of the Bruce Davidson Lending Library of jazz literature and the audio/video lending library, which includes videotapes of previous IAJRC convention programs.

• The wonderful experience of being able to attend our annual convention, where you will be able to mingle with other members and enjoy three or four days of good fellowship, plus live music by well-known musicians, jam sessions, record dealing, panel discussions, scholarly presentations, the exchange of ideas and information, jazz films and other special events.

• Our Membership Directory, which lists all members, along with their special collecting interests. Most members feel that the Directory alone is worth the costs of the annual dues!

• Association with other like-minded jazz enthusiasts, for the purpose of exchanging tapes, and other jazz-related information. Since 1964, the IAJRC has brought pleasure to its members by providing a forum and common meeting ground for those who share similar musical interests.
